Appalachian Pretrial and Probation Program

The Appalachian Pretrial  and Probation Program is a county probation program operating in Pickens, Fannin and Gilmer Counties.   This program is a certified law enforcement program and has been so certified since June, 2002 by the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council.   Offices are located in each of the three counties.  This program supervises misdeamnor criminal cases in Superior Court, Magistrate Court,  Probate Court and Municipal Courts upon request.   This program also operates a pretrial diversion  program for the circuit and assists in supervising criminal defendants who are released from jail with special conditons of bond.
